Capt. Mohammed Iqbal (4th) Expired 11 Jun 2007
Capt. Mohammad Iqbal (4th) expired (Inna..!) on 11 June 2007 at 0120 hours at Metropolitan Hospital, Chittagong. He suffered a brain hemorrhage after a stroke a few weeks ago. He died due to a complication after a brain surgery. His Namaj-E-Janaja was scheduled after Johor prayer at Kamal Eshq Mostafa Mosque, East Bakulia, Chittagong. Every one is requested to pray for the peace of his departed soul.

Mohammed Monirul Islam (4th) 
In USA. Attended State University New York (SUNY) Maritime College, Fort Schuyler, New York, USA, in early 70s. He has been working for Northrop Grumman Ship System for many years. Now he is the supervisor of Ship Design R& D Applied Science. He has been the Vice-Chair of Electrical Ship Design and the Chair-Elect for IEEE- 45 Standard, IEEE Recommended Practice for Electrical Installation on Shipboard. Recently he has written a book (August 2004 release) " Handbook to IEEE Standard 45 – A Guide to Electrical Installation on Shipboard”. For additional book details refer to http://standards.ieee.org/standardspress . He has published many technical papers on shipboard electrical system. He resides in New Orleans, Louisiana, with his wife Mrs. Raihana Islam. His daughter Tanajila Islam did her undergrad from Columbia University and Master from New York University (2003). She works for an International Development agency in Washington DC. His son Nasheet Islam is second year student in Columbia University, New York.

Capt. Shaikh M. Arif (4th) 
In Kuwait. Serving United Arab Shipping Co. (UAS), Kuwait, as ISM Superintendent. He joined UAS in 1986. He was born in Dhaka and live in Karachi, Pakistan. He studied in Shideshwari Boys School (SSC, 1963) and Notre Dame College (1963-65). Residing in Kuwait with wife Mrs. Zeenat Arif, three sons Shaikh M Atif, Shaikh M Akif and Shaikh M Faraz. [One of his son Shaikh M Wasif expired on 06/06/94, was born on 27/10/74]

Mahmood Billah (4th) 
In Houston, USA. Serving American Bureau of Shipping (Houston Corporate Headquarters) as Senior Managing Principal Engineer, Ship Engineering Department. He is a well known singer among Bengali communities of the United States. He was an artist in Bangladesh television and appeared frequently to perform Nazrul and modern songs. He was also affiliated with Dhaka Nazrul Academy, whereby, he received guidance from many versatile vocalist of Nazrul Sangeet. He published two CDs from Houston, USA. The first one in 1997, a Nazrul Sangeet album and the second one in December 2002, a collection of old songs. He is a founding architect of North America Nazrul Conference. He completed B.Sc. in Naval Architecture form SUNY Maritime College, New York, in 1974 and obtained M.Sc. in Transportation Management in 1977 from same college. He is serving American Bureau of Shipping, Houston, as Principal Engineer in its Ship Engineering department.

Nazrul Siddique P.E. (4th) 
In New Jersey, USA. Serving as Project Engineer in Division of Bridges of New York City Department of Transportation. He is residing in New Jerswy with his wife Mrs. Shahana Siddique and two sons. Eldest son Javed Siddique, is an Investment Banker, Senior Associate with Jeffries & Company, New York. Graduated from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1998, Cum Laude Honors. Second son Naseer Siddique, studying B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University. Pittsburgh, PA.

He wrote " Please convey my best wishes to Captain L.T. Gomes (3rd), Captain Imam Anwar(6th), Chief Enginner Fakhruzzaman (2nd) and all my fellow mariners of National Shipping Corporation of Pakistan ship " mv. Tarbela" . Last time I saw them about 30 years ago at 2 A.M. when I walked away from the ship in New York during Bangladesh Independence movement.
